Serendipity
Serendipity manufactures an extensive line of organic children's clothing, from infant to size 12. In their own words, "Serendipity Organics is natural children's clothing made for comfort and easy wear. It is Scandinavian design inspired by children playing and having fun." The company is based in Denmark, and does its manufacturing in India, including the manufacturing of its own fabrics, though silk and wool are produced in China. The products are certified organic by Control Union Certifications, and most of their fabrics are made in accordance with IA 8000, an international standard for fair trade that includes 3rd party inspection. The company uses low impact dyes.

When we ordered the heathered blue and sage green color block shorts by Serendipity, we wondered if they were too casual to be worth the organic money, but when they came in, we wished we had ordered more. Not only do they have the perfect fit (like basketball shorts only cooler), they are extrordinarily soft, quick and easy to put on, they have pockets, and the material is solid enough to do stuff in. Clearly Serendipity considered real boys when they came up with the design. They are phenomenal with Serendipity's sage green heathered henley top (long-sleeve), or their short sleeve striped sage tee...or whatever other tees you already have. True to size. 100% organic cotton.
