General Shipping Information
Orders are generally shipped via UPS. At checkout, you can select your shipping method such as ground, 3-day select, etc. Shipping charges are based on the estimated weight and size of your order, as well as your delivery zip code, using UPS real-time shipping quotes. If for some reason a real-time shipping quote cannot be obtained as you are placing your order, an estimate based on order value will be provided. There are no shipping charges on any orders of $75 or over (unless expedited shipping is requested).
For very small items, or for shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and APO addresses, GreenEdge Kids will ship standard shipments via U.S. Postal Service, with delivery confirmation. If you have any difficulty placing your order from one of these locations, please contact us via email (info@greenedgekids.com) or phone (858-481-6733) so that we can help you.
Please allow 1-2 regular business days (M-F excluding holidays) for order processing. Shipments most likely will not go out the same day they are ordered.
Tracking and Checking Status of Shipments
You will be able to check status of any shipment using the UPS tracking number and link or USPS confirmation number that is emailed to you when your order is shipped.
Shipping Boxes
At the moment, all of our shipping boxes are reused boxes that we have collected from incoming shipments, neighbors, and stores around town. If you live in or near San Diego, CA and would like to reuse instead of recycle your small boxes, contact us, and we will arrange a drop-off location.
It would be much easier to purchase recycled boxes and call ourselves a green company, but GreenEdge Kids is committed to finding sources of clean and appropriately sized used boxes in good condition, so that we can continue to reuse instead of recycle. It takes energy to recycle an old box into a new one, and there are too many box-generating stores that are crushing perfectly good boxes on a daily basis.
