Sizing
As with all clothing, sizing on children’s clothes can vary widely among manufacturers. We chose not to include a size chart with measurements because we have found too much variability across the many manufacturers we’ve found, to be able to rely on it. However, we think if you have a child who fits a size 4 most of the time, you should be able to order a size 4 and feel confident that it will actually fit. Thus, we have taken care to note whether product lines run true to size, big, or small. In a few cases where we thought the sizing was substantially different than most others, we went ahead and changed the available sizes from what they are labeled to what we think they really are.
Many manufacturers are moving away from sizes 3T, 5, and 7, and offering simply 2,4,6,8. We like this approach because it is simpler, and more efficient. If you are buying for a child who currently wears a size 3T, and the item you are considering is only offered in 2,4,6,8, we recommend going with the size 4 for the most likely fit. For items offered in dual sizes, such as 2/3, 4/5, etc., we suggest going with the size that best fits the child’s current size (thus a 2/3 for the child who wears a 3T), unless otherwise noted in the product description.
If you’re still not sure what size to order, make a note in the comment section of checkout, stating what size the child generally wears (80% of the time) for tops and bottoms, and whether you like to buy things just fitting, or with room to grow. We will review your order and comments, and will adjust sizes for you, if necessary, before sending.
If all else fails, and we still don’t get it right, send your item back (with tags, in new, unwashed condition, in accordance with our return policy), and we’ll send you the size you need. Sometimes we may have to learn the hard way.
Availability
Although some products may be re-ordered, others can not. We indicate on each product detail whether an item is in-stock or out-of-stock. We will remove any items that are out-of-stock, and that we cannot re-order. If you are looking for something specific that we don’t have, please take the time to let us know so we can work on adding it.
